A successful energy transition must be compatible with the comfort and safety of buildings, especially as they become increasingly interconnected. A commercial building (hotel, hospital, offices, etc.) or an industrial building must first and foremost ensure the safety and comfort of its users.
How can we combine energy efficiency with user safety and comfort?

BMS/FM: intelligent control of your building
Panorama’s SCADA solution enables all a building’s equipment to be connected and displayed in a single BMS/FM application: HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), GTE (power supply), lighting, etc.
BIM operation, your building’s digital twin
Panorama’s BIM Operation module takes things a step further and brings us into the era of ‘Building as a Service’, enabling the BIM model to converge with business tools such as BMS/FM, access control systems and CMMS (computer-aided maintenance management).
BIM Operation, the module for using and displaying BIM data, ensures perfect continuity between the construction and operation/maintenance of your building. This digital twin a perfect representation of your building in real terms, is created by combining static data (e.g. building plans), semi-static data (e.g. service requests) and dynamic data (e.g. air conditioning status.
What are the benefits?
– For operators: A complete digital image of the building that the operator can use to get the most out of the building: control, maintenance, monitoring, etc.
Examples of use cases:
- Select an alert object in a 3D view,
- Make cross-sections or horizontal sections of the model,
- Navigate the BIM data tree,
- …
– For integrators: Accelerate integration by automatically creating BIM mock-ups, save time when designing BMS/FM applications.
Native cybersecurity mechanisms for secure buildings:
The increasing interconnection of building systems and the exchange of data between them can provide fertile ground for cyber-attacks.
The Panorama platform, certified and qualified by ANSSI, has internal cybersecurity mechanisms to help protect your systems. By choosing a SCADA solution recommended by the French government, you can reduce your risk of vulnerability. As well as protecting your data, it ensures continuity of service in the operation of your building.
BMS/FM: the need for BACnet BTL certification
The Panorama solution interfaces with field equipment and other systems using standardised protocols such as BACnet, the standard for connected commercial buildings. CODRA has chosen to implement a certification system to guarantee the conformity of its systems and equipment via the BACnet BTL (BACnet Testing Laboratories) certification obtained for Panorama Suite 2022 SP1.
The product has been rigorously tested to ensure optimum interaction between equipment and BACnet PLCs from different manufacturers. BACnet BTL certification is not only a guarantee of quality, but also proof of compatibility with BACnet equipment.
CODRA, an approved partner, and its network of integrators are recognised for their technical expertise in the building sector. As a result, application integration is carried out without restrictions or access problems, making it easy to implement BACnet solutions in different environments.
BMS/FM and energy efficiency
Collecting data in a single tool such as Panorama makes it possible to centralise information on equipment operation, environmental measurements and, above all, energy consumption. Using the detailed reports produced by Panorama’s Data Historian, operations or management teams can monitor the building’s data accurately. By analysing these reports, they can detect any leaks, incorrect settings or even all the building’s energy consumption. This enables operators to optimise the resources consumed by their facilities and achieve their energy efficiency targets.
The Panorama solution helps you to meet the challenges of smart building on a daily basis. Your application provides you with a clear, centralised view of your building to help you meet the challenges of the energy transition and ensure optimum safety and comfort for users.
