CODRA at BIM World 2026

focus on BIM for operation

BIM World is establishing itself as the leading event dedicated to digital technology and innovation for buildings, infrastructure and territories. The 2026 edition will focus on three key areas that are central to the priorities of both decision-makers and field teams: smarter and safer buildings, better-managed infrastructure and territories, and energy management (performance and efficiency). In other words, topics where data, digital continuity and operational performance take on their full meaning.

In this context, CODRA invites you to BIM World 2026 to present a concrete and industrialised approach to BIM for operation: converging the BIM model and BMS  to improve energy performance, accelerate maintenance, make operations more reliable and enhance the level of service to occupants. With Panorama Suite and its BIM for operation functionality, the objective is clear: to transform the model into an everyday operational tool.

BIM for operation: transforming the BIM model into a lever for operational performance

The promise of BIM for operation is simple: to move from a model that is mainly useful in design/construction to a reference system that can be used in the operations and maintenance phase. CODRA addresses this tipping point by integrating BIM into SCADA via Panorama Suite, connecting the “reference” information from the model’ (plans, metadata, equipment) with “dynamic” field data (statuses, alarms, measurements, histories).

In concrete terms, the convergence of static and real-time data on a single platform makes it possible to build a digital twin that is as close as possible to reality, which is useful for prioritising actions, reducing intervention times and managing operations with a more contextualised view. On the operational side, this translates into direct business gains: less time spent wandering around the field, faster diagnostics, better traceability and an increased ability to standardise multi-site practices.

CODRA also highlights the ability to use IFC metadata and interface the 3D model with SCADA views to add 3D contextualisation to operational information (navigation, cross-sections, tree structures, selection of objects in alert, etc.). This approach improves operational clarity and speeds up decision-making, particularly in dense technical environments (tertiary sector, hospitals, data centres, complex infrastructures).

SCADA and digital twin: a results-oriented approach

At BIM World 2026, CODRA will convey a message: a building’s performance is not only determined at delivery, but throughout its entire life cycle. SCADA is no longer just a management tool; it is becoming an operating platform that aggregates and structures data, with measurable impacts on:

  • consumption optimisation and energy performance,
  • service continuity,
  • preventive maintenance,
  • the efficiency of operating teams.

With Panorama Suite, CODRA is part of a modular platform approach (SCADA, data exploitation, etc.) and promotes a business use: BIM for operation. For asset managers and operators, it is a means of securing the industrialisation of Smart Building projects: the BIM model becomes a real management tool, the data can be used directly to make decisions and take action, and operations are based on a single, reliable
