Total Qatar

Total Exploration & Production Qatar (TEPQ) operates the AI Khalij oil field, located 130km off the coast of Qatar.

Aim:

TEPQ wanted to replace their former Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) with a modern and efficient supervisory control system.

Solution:

From the control room located 40km away from the oilfield, operators can control and monitor, round the clock: offshore production units, separations trains on the island, fire & gas detection and safety systems (FGS/ESD). The Panorama platform enables reporting, traceability and also interfaces with other applications such as the PI system.

Régaz-Bordeaux

Régaz-Bordeaux, a subsidiary of the Bordeaux Métropole Energies group, manages the gas distribution network serving 46 municipal areas in the Gironde region.

Aim

To back its ecological transition ambitions, the Bordeaux-based company has once again chosen the Panorama SCADA platform to support 24/7 control and monitoring of gas delivery throughout its service area.

Solution

Thanks to the Panorama SCADA software , the remote monitoring of the 300 Régaz-Bordeaux pressure reducing stations is finely controlled to ensure that gas is distributed in complete safety and in accordance with users’ needs.

The openness and scalability of the computing solution have already enabled the application to be redesigned, with the evolution of the architecture and implementation of components for specific needs.

Hydrostadium

Hydrostadium, a subsidiary of the EDF Group, produces hydro-electricity by harnessing the potential energy of a head of water and transforming it into clean, renewable energy. For reasons of reliability and durability, Hydrostadium has chosen the Panorama SCADA for the revamp of the SCADA system which covers each of its 250 “small-hydro” power plants (< 12MW capacity). Moreover, the solution will also offer Hydrostadium’s operators a reliable and functional Hypervision system to facilitate the maintenance and operation of the plants.

Aims

To equip the 250 “small-hydro” production units with a standalone, independent, local SCADA that communicates all the necessary information to the hypervision located in Annecy.

To equip the company with a Hypervision system allowing the different user profiles – operators, operations managers, application administrators – to view and/or operate each of the facilities from the main regional operation and maintenance centers.
This Hypervision must also be capable of exchanging data with large-scale hydro plants (hydraulic dams with capacities in excess of 12MW).

Solution

Hydrostadium chose the Panorama SCADA and Historian platform for its scalability and interoperability.

The object-based approach adopted for the Panorama platform means that local integrators can work with a library of graphical and functional objects to adapt the reference application to the functional requirements of each dam. For the customer, this is a guarantee of productivity during the deployment of the solution across the 250 units. It also offers the assurance of excellent application maintainability thanks to the high degree of consistency between the local applications.

For the successful implementation of this project, Panorama’s expertise unit is supporting Hydrostadium with its national deployment strategy as well as assisting in the development of the Hypervision.

Customer benefits

The Panorama platform offers each user both local and global views of the network of hydro facilities. A center manager for instance will be able to view a plant complex, a valley, a catchment area or a region from his or her control station.

All users also have a mobile application to monitor in real time the current status of each dam (reservoir level, active power, status logging, alarms, etc.).  This additional operating aid further facilitates the operation and maintenance of the hydro-electric production sites.

Eiffage Énergie Systèmes has made a strategic choice by implementing the Panorama Hypervision system to centralise diverse data.

For reasons of reliability and durability, Hydrostadium has chosen the Panorama SCADA for the revamp of the SCADA system which covers each of its 250 “small-hydro” power plants (< 12MW capacity). Moreover, the solution will also offer Hydrostadium’s operators a reliable and functional Hypervision system to facilitate the maintenance and operation of the plants.

Aims

To equip the 250 “small-hydro” production units with a standalone, independent, local SCADA that communicates all the necessary information to the hypervision located in Annecy.

To equip the company with a Hypervision system allowing the different user profiles – operators, operations managers, application administrators – to view and/or operate each of the facilities from the main regional operation and maintenance centers.
This Hypervision must also be capable of exchanging data with large-scale hydro plants (hydraulic dams with capacities in excess of 12MW).

Solution

Hydrostadium chose the Panorama SCADA and Historian platform for its scalability and interoperability.

The object-based approach adopted for the Panorama platform means that local integrators can work with a library of graphical and functional objects to adapt the reference application to the functional requirements of each dam. For the customer, this is a guarantee of productivity during the deployment of the solution across the 250 units. It also offers the assurance of excellent application maintainability thanks to the high degree of consistency between the local applications.

For the successful implementation of this project, Panorama’s expertise unit is supporting Hydrostadium with its national deployment strategy as well as assisting in the development of the Hypervision.

Customer benefits

The Panorama platform offers each user both local and global views of the network of hydro facilities. A center manager for instance will be able to view a plant complex, a valley, a catchment area or a region from his or her control station.

All users also have a mobile application to monitor in real time the current status of each dam (reservoir level, active power, status logging, alarms, etc.).  This additional operating aid further facilitates the operation and maintenance of the hydro-electric production sites.

Its role is to support eco-industry players in research and innovation for the development of photovoltaic and thermal solar energy and building energy efficiency.

Aims

INES has chosen the Panorama SCADA software to manage the instrumentation and control of its electrical equipment to meet the following objectives :

• Integrate photovoltaic power into electrical grids supporting intelligent systems / Smart Grid;
• Recover and store thermal energy for subsequent use in industry and for distribution via thermal networks;
• Optimize the energy performance of buildings.

Solution

INES’ motivation in revamping its I&C system is to open up even further to the industrial world. Today it is interfacing with third party systems in order to be compatible with the greatest number of partners in the electricity sector.
